Katie Oman led a comprehensive needs analysis, market assessment, project concept and business plan for a new arts and culture center in Beaverton, Oregon, having developed the project concept prior to joining AMS. The study’s work included: detailed needs assessment for more than a dozen local user groups; iterative development of activity plan and building program; demographic and lifestyle assessment of primary and secondary markets; public survey to test attendance and willingness to pay; governance recommendations and detailed pro forma operating model which enabled scenario testing for multiple different approaches and risk profiles. BCA is currently hiring a general manager and fundraising lead, in preparation for a capital campaign and ongoing design work.
